The Keatster

This weekend Keat has come out for his King for a Day! He was skunking me at dominoes and I said to him... "come on Keat, be nice. I made brownies for you" He answered " Yeah, then you let the old people eat them" ( Brys mom & dad had dropped in) When I told his mom about it while laughing my head off, she said that she had dragged the book How to stop worrying and start living around to Mexico and back without reading one page of it. Keat asked her if she had finished it, and she said no, and then he said" You better hurry, you're going to have to read it about 5 times".

I have had a lot of fun doing this scrap book. Of course with my memory being what it is I am having to go back to my journals to get the facts... I ran across the entries right when I found out I was pregnant with Tim and thought you might like to hear them. I also found this picture....Note the washroom and you will see what I am talking about!

Today is the Sabbath and I've had an enjoyable day. We went to church and then I went Visiting teaching. Later we had home evening. Just before we were ready to start I asked Tenesha if she wanted to go potty. She Said " Quit bugging me!" Later on we were having a fun visit with Heather. She was telling me about the second coming of Christ. She was telling us how many of the signs had already happened. And then she said" The thing that worries me is that I might not get my drivers lisence before it happens". Oh to be young and have that my greatest worry!

Well this week has been an interesting one. I found out I was pregnant with # 8. I'm thrilled of course. I always knew we'd have one more. The thing that worries me is I don't feel like I'm in control of 7, let alone add one more. My bedtime is something else, to say nothing about my sunday mornings. & kids in 10 years! But little Tenny will be 3 and 1/2 and she's really been a joy. So we definitely need to have another one!

Boy am I sick, & half dead too! All I do is lay around, I'm getting snowed under and discouraged. I must be PREGNANT!

Aug 20 1982
Well I'm almost finished with my marathon sew out! I have made Heather 2 blouses, Mike 5 shirts, Nicolli 2 blouses, Marchel 5 blouses and 2 coverals. Summer 4 pants and 4 blouses, and 1 pair of pants for Tina Brown and then some odd presents to give away. I only have 1 blouse and 2 pair of pants left. It has really been quite a challenge and rewarding because I think what a terrible seamstress I used to be. I've come a long way.
Mike is working again tonight and staying over at his moms. It's very depressing & I worry because I seem to be getting along fine without him and not missing him too much. I don't think all this work is good for a marriage.
He just got back from Alaska fishing and if that didn't seem like the worst idea since little league football I don't know what is. But I couldn't talk any sense into him.

I also just got the kids school shopping finished. It cost about $350 for material, shoes, socks and things I couldn't make. That is for 5 in school, and that isn't buying coats! I hate worrying about money! (it seems I have all my life! )

Tonite was our elders quorum party and Mike and I were in charge. We had over 58 people there. It was a great turnout. We had a barbeque at the park and then played softball. Can you believe this picture of your dad, Tim looks exactly like him. He even stands like him in the bottom picture.

I thought I could put the scrapbook here, but I can't do it by copy & paste so it would be too much work. I did think though that you could all help me by blogging some of your memories for me to include.
